The Marauder is one of the remade Colonial Marine classes coming to Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. Cold Iron Studios built it around a rifle plus a heavy weapon, a shoulder-mounted Blast Cannon for close fights, and larger Titan Rockets for bigger explosions. It replaces the first game's Demolisher role.

Marauder Showcase Video

The full showcase landed on the game's YouTube channel in July 2026, ahead of the August 25, 2026 launch. Cold Iron's official Marauder video shows the Blast Cannon and Titan Rockets kits, the M12A1 Rocket Launcher and OCAP-91 Volcan, and the Rampage and Reactive Charges perks.

Class Role

Marauder is the heavy-weapons class in a four-player squad. It is less about two rifles than the Duelist, less about turrets and drones than the Machinist, and less about slowing targets than the Hunter. Its job is to fire rockets, burn a room with the Volcan, and knock back a Xenomorph that gets into melee. It can also carry smartguns. Fireteam Elite 2 packs are thicker than the first game, with new Fireteam 2 Xenomorph types like the Exploder, Siren, and Warden. Leveling Marauder unlocks kits that can later be mixed into Specialist builds.

M12A1 Rocket Launcher

The showcase highlights two signature weapons: the M12A1 Rocket Launcher and the OCAP-91 Volcan heavy flamethrower. The M12A1 kit UI lists 72 accuracy and 43 stability, with damage holding out to about 80 meters before the drop. That is the longer of the two heavies, a returning rocket launcher from the remade Demolisher role among the named Fireteam Elite 2 weapons. The class still carries a rifle, and the rocket is for long hallways.

OCAP-91 Volcan

The OCAP-91 Volcan is the close flamethrower, shown beside the M12A1. The kit card lists 100 accuracy and 82 stability, with full damage into about 30 meters and a hard cut before 40. Paired with the rocket launcher, it gives the class a close gun for when a Xenomorph pack is already in the doorway and Titan Rockets are still reloading.

Blast Cannon

Blast Cannon is the smaller shoulder kit. The upgrades are Blastwave and Thermal Cannon. Blastwave knocks enemies back, and Thermal Cannon adds fire. In a four-player squad, one version shoves a rush off the marine, and the other burns the pack that already closed.

Titan Rockets

Titan Rockets is the larger shoulder kit. The two modifiers are Phosphorous Rocket and Rocket Mines. Phosphorous rockets burn on impact, and Rocket Mines leave charges on the floor. Combined with the M12A1, that lets Marauder clear a hive hallway without waiting for the Duelist's grenade or the Hunter's slow.

Perks

Two unlockable Marauder perks from the showcase reward close combat:

  • Rampage - Killing an enemy grants a stack of Rampage. At 25 stacks, your fire rate, reload speed, and movement speed are greatly increased but your stability is decreased. Lasts 8 seconds.
  • Reactive Charges - Getting hit by a melee attack triggers a concussive blast, knocking back most nearby enemies. This can occur once every 30 seconds.

Rampage is built by kills. At 25 stacks you get eight seconds of faster fire, reload, and movement, with worse stability. Reactive Charges fires a knockback blast when a Drone or runner hits you in melee, once every 30 seconds.

Vasquez, Not Hicks

If you map Fireteam Elite 2 classes onto Aliens, Marauder sits with Private Vasquez and Mark Drake, not Corporal Hicks. Vasquez and Drake ran the Smartgun team. Hicks fought with a pulse rifle and kept a shotgun ready for close work, the same two-gun habit the Duelist is built around. Marauder is the marine with the heavy gun and the explosives.

Conclusion

The Marauder is Fireteam Elite 2's heavy-weapons marine. Blast Cannon and Titan Rockets are the shoulder kits, the M12A1 and Volcan are the signature guns, and Rampage plus Reactive Charges reward kills and surviving melee. The remade roster also includes the Medic, next to the Duelist, Machinist, Hunter, and Specialist.
