Alien Universe Factions: Militaries, Companies & Cults
By the 2180s, charted space was held by governments, companies, armed services, and cults. The United Americas, the Three World Empire, the Union of Progressive Peoples, and the Independent Core System Colonies were the four governments. Weyland-Yutani, Seegson, and Hyperdyne ran colonies, ships, and synthetics inside those states. The United States Colonial Marine Corps was the United Americas armed service, and the Interstellar Commerce Commission licensed trade and inspected cargo. Xenomorph cults worshipped the Alien as a god. In Alien: Earth, five firms divided Earth in 2120: Weyland-Yutani, Prodigy, Threshold, Lynch, and Dynamic.
Interstellar Commerce Commission (ICC): Role & Laws
The Interstellar Commerce Commission licensed commercial crews and inspected cargo and biologicals for Earth and for colonies of 200,000 or more. In 2179 a board under Van Leuwen suspended Ellen Ripley's license after the Nostromo. The roleplaying game has Weyland-Yutani running it from Ruby Colony.

Independent Core System Colonies (ICSC): New Eden
The Independent Core System Colonies grew out of the 2080s Central Space Consortium, a corporate tax haven inside the Three World Empire. The 2151 New Deal recognized the break. By the 2180s the capital was Alexandria in the New Eden Sector, and the colonies sold protection to any world that could pay.

Union of Progressive Peoples (UPP): The Socialist Bloc
The Union of Progressive Peoples formed in the early 2100s from Russia, Germany, and Spain, with China helping the union take shape. By the 2180s it was the resource-poor socialist rival of the United Americas, fielding the People's Army and the Space Operating Forces from its capital at Rodina Station.

Three World Empire: The Anglo-Japanese Arm
The Three World Empire formed in the 2080s from the United Kingdom, Japan, India, and other states, and took its name from Earth, Mars, and Titan. By the 2180s it held the oldest extrasolar colonies on the Anglo-Japanese Arm, with a prime minister, a royal figurehead, and Weyland-Yutani seated in parliament.

United Americas: Government Of The American Arm
The United Americas formed in the early 2100s when North, Central, and South America signed the Washington Treaty. By the 2180s it was the strongest colonizing power in charted space, holding the American Arm through Allied Command, the Colonial Marines, and the Colonial Marshal Bureau.

Hyperdyne Systems: Android & Frontier Guns Manufacturer
Hyperdyne Systems built the 120-A/2 synthetics, including Ash, and the 341-B androids the Colonial Marines put on every platoon, including Bishop. It went on working the Hyades mines past the twenty-parsec limit, left a Weyland-Yutani buyout, and later fielded the Zvezda plasma rifle and the Volcan.

Armat Battlefield Systems: Maker Of Marine Pulse Rifles
Armat Battlefield Systems made the M41A Pulse Rifle that Colonial Marines and the US Army carried into the 2179 fight at Hadley's Hope. The Technical Manual, Operations Manual, and Alien RPG also name Armat on the M41AE2, the Model 37A2 shotgun, the U1 launcher, and the Type 4 and M20 charges.

The Seegson Corporation was a European conglomerate that sold cheap alternatives to Weyland-Yutani, from Working Joe androids to the APOLLO mainframe. It bought Sevastopol Station, sold that freeport in 2137, then kept fighting through the Cold Forge raid and a Seegson botanist on BG-791 in 2187.
