The Interstellar Commerce Commission licensed trade ships and crews and inspected cargo moving between Earth and the colonies. Those states are collected under Alien Universe Governments, and the firms under Alien Universe Companies.

The Interstellar Commerce Commission licensed commercial crews and inspected cargo and biologicals for Earth and for colonies of 200,000 or more. In 2179 a board under Van Leuwen suspended Ellen Ripley's license after the Nostromo. The roleplaying game has Weyland-Yutani running it from Ruby Colony.

United States Colonial Marine Corps: Full Guide To USCM
The United States Colonial Marine Corps was the United Americas force-in-readiness, founded by the National Security Act of 2101. It peaked at 240,000 Marines after Tientsin, dropped to 165,000 by the Aliens year, and fielded small rifle platoons from Marine Space Forces Sol, Eridani, and Herculis.
