The Exploder, Siren, and Warden are the new Xenomorph castes in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, joined by the Harbinger and the returning Striker on the pathogen side. Cold Iron Studios built those roles to break a held line: a suicide blast, a living alarm, a knockdown bruiser, a grapple hunter, and a club-armed pursuer. Returning hive types such as the Drone and the Crusher share the same missions as Fireteam Chimaera.
Exploder Xenomorph: Fireteam 2's Volatile Runner
The Exploder is a Volatile Runner Xenomorph in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. Cold Iron Studios lists it as a suicide pressure unit with a Medium (situational) threat. A pustule-covered sac on its back detonates at close range, and a burning Exploder dies with a larger blast.
