The Striker is a pale pathogen brute in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. It first appeared as the Pathogen Brute in the Pathogen expansion for Aliens: Fireteam Elite. The sequel treats it as a Heavy Brute and a relentless melee pursuer with a High threat rating. Club arms do the killing, and the body stays quicker than the bulk suggests once it locks onto a Marine.

Appearance

The Striker has pale, wet skin and a smooth eyeless dome, closer to unfinished organic bone than a black Xenomorph skull. A wide mouth sits in that dome, packed with small dark needle teeth. Four curved quills rise from the shoulders and frame the head. The forearms end in huge club fists, lumpy and dark, with recessed nodules that can glow a faint pink. Orange-brown pustules sit on the chest, joints, and clubs, the same pathogen marks seen on other white mutants. The torso and legs stay leaner than those arms, and the feet are clawed.

Combat Role

The Striker commits to a chase, then swings those clubs once it is in reach. Sweeping arm hits knock Colonial Marines out of position and smash anyone who stays bunched. It is not the fastest pathogen creature, but it is quick enough for its size that a fireteam cannot treat it as a slow tank. There is no unique weak point on the body, so the only reliable answer is heavy, sustained fire before the clubs close.

Role In The Story

In 2202, Marines from the UAS Endeavor met the creature under LV-895 during Promise of the Flower. That campaign kept the white pathogen mutants in their own nest, separate from the Katanga hive swarms. In 2207, Fireteam Chimaera ran into the same brute again on LV-558 at the mining colony Storr's Boon, after the Endeavor answered a distress call. The mine was a Weyland-Yutani front for Xenomorph research, and Strikers appear there with other pathogen hunters such as the Harbinger.

The Pathogen Brute Name

In the 2022 Pathogen expansion, the same creature was the Pathogen Brute. Cold Iron treated it as a mutated Xenomorph they had not named further, built around two huge fist growths that slam a target instead of cutting. It could also pound the ground and send a shockwave through nearby Marines. Fireteam Elite 2 renamed it the Striker, but still calls it a Heavy Brute and marks it as a return from the first game.

Similar Creatures

A Neomorph lunging through tall grass in Alien Covenant

The Neomorph from Alien: Covenant is the closest look, a pale eyeless hunter born from pathogen motes rather than eggs. Both share the unfinished organic skull and wet white skin. The Striker is heavier through the arms, carries shoulder quills, and the first game treated it as a mutated Xenomorph rather than a mote-born Neomorph. The Harbinger is the other Fireteam 2 pathogen hunter, a chest-maw grapple type with no separate head.

Conclusion

The Striker is the club-armed pathogen brute that first appeared as the Pathogen Brute under LV-895, then came back on LV-558 under the new name. The clubs, the chase, and the lack of a clean weak point stayed the same.
