Predator Kills the Marvel Universe served as the culmination of Marvel's licensed Predator crossover line. The story built on Predator versus Wolverine, Predator vs. Black Panther, and Predator vs. Spider-Man. Those earlier conflicts gave the Yautja knowledge of Wolverine, Wakanda, Spider-Man, Kraven the Hunter, and the weaknesses of Earth's heroes.

By the time the invasion began, the Predators had gained two major advantages. Vibranium stolen from Wakanda had strengthened their weapons, while Kraven had taught them how Marvel's heroes fought. That combination let the Predator King escalate the conflict from individual hunts to a global campaign against the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other defenders.

Plot Summary

The story began after several earlier Predator encounters had already changed the balance of power. In Wakanda, the Predator Prince had stolen Vibranium before dying, but the metal still reached his father and brother. In New York, Kraven killed Skinner Predator and earned the respect of the Yautja hunting party sent to punish him. Kraven then spent time among the Predators, learning their customs while teaching them about Earth's superpowered prey.

With that preparation complete, the Predator King gathered a massive Yautja force and attacked Earth. The invasion was not a normal hunt carried out by one cloaked warrior. It was a coordinated war, using Yautja ships, hunting parties, royal Vibranium weapons, and Kraven's intelligence to strike at the strongest heroes before they could organize. The Predators wanted to turn Earth itself into a hunting preserve.

The first stages of the invasion devastated Earth's defenders. The Predators attacked teams such as the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Fantastic Four before shifting toward the X-Men and Avengers. Graveyard, the Predator King's favored son, led one of the most brutal attacks by targeting the Xavier Institute. His hunting party killed many mutants, destroyed the school, and made Wolverine's personal feud with the Yautja even bloodier.

Kraven played a major role in guiding the invasion. After proving himself in Predator vs. Spider-Man, he used his knowledge of Earth's heroes to help the Yautja choose targets and exploit weaknesses. He wanted Spider-Man's head as a trophy, but his path eventually brought him into conflict with Predator X, a captured Yautja controlled by human handlers through Weapon Plus technology. Predator X killed Kraven during the final phase of the war.

Earth's surviving heroes eventually fought back by adapting Predator tactics against the invaders. Iron Man equipped survivors such as Wolverine and Spider-Man with armor designed to counter Yautja advantages, including Vibranium protection and systems that reduced heat signatures against Predator vision. Susan Storm destroyed the Yautja mothership and killed the Predator King, while Wolverine finally killed Graveyard and avenged the X-Men. The invasion failed, but the damage to Earth's heroes was enormous.
