LV-921 is the storm-hit colony world of Alien: Isolation 2. Weyland-Yutani ran a mining outpost called Kurosaki Station on that surface. A few months after the 2137 outbreak on Sevastopol Station, company manager Blake and her survey team found the Gemini Labs module from Alien: Isolation in the forest and woke the Xenomorph sealed inside.
Surface And Weather
The surface around the colony was a dead forest in rain and fog, with leafless trunks over wet ground and tangled roots. Storms cut how far anyone could see, and wind and thunder covered their steps. Art director Ana Sopikova called LV-921 a hostile world.
Gemini Lab Crash
In Isolation, Amanda Ripley and Marshal Waits trapped the original Drone in the Gemini Exoplanet Solutions module, the Project KG-348 hazard lab off Sevastopol, and ejected it toward the gas giant KG-348. Isolation treated that fall as the end of the creature. Isolation 2 puts the same module on LV-921 a few months later.
The wreck sat in the trees and in standing water, with fires on the shore. Press builds described a small ring around a central command, a handful of labs, and dead main power, with emergency lights and Seegson Working Joes left in the hull. Blake's team went in for survivors and salvage. They brought the lab systems back, and the Xenomorph sealed inside got loose. How a module aimed at KG-348 reached another colony world has not been explained.
Kurosaki Station
Kurosaki Station is the Weyland-Yutani outpost on LV-921. Official material treats it as the tight interior hunting ground, a surface colony rather than an orbital platform. The name is Japanese, from words for black and a promontory, which Creative Assembly tied to a station on a dark edge of the galaxy. The logo uses English and kanji, a British-Japanese company mark.
Everyone on the colony wore a role patch. The set shown in August 2026 covered maintenance and recreation workers, miners and refinery crews, medical and science staff, transport and spacecraft crews, company staff and security, and a Kurosaki Police Department written as independent of Weyland-Yutani. Press builds have shown more of the forest crash than of finished station floors, so the outpost's layout and crew size are not public.
Survey Team And Outbreak
Blake woke from cryosleep for a company survey on LV-921, with Otto and Cole on the same run. Their transport was crossing toward the colony when a man-made wreck hit the forest ahead of a storm. The driver wanted the team back at the vehicle before the weather closed the road. Blake treated the hull as a survivor and salvage job and went in with Otto.
They restored power inside Gemini Labs. The Xenomorph got out, and the hunt moved from the crash toward Kurosaki Station. Whether that creature is Stompy from the Sevastopol ejection or a new adult Xenomorph born from the same wreck remains unconfirmed.
Behind The Scenes
Creative Assembly and Sega showed Alien: Isolation 2 at Summer Game Fest 2026, with creative director Al Hope and art director Ana Sopikova presenting the first trailer. The studio moved the sequel off a sealed orbital station and onto a planet surface, with Kurosaki Station as the closed interior and the forest as open hunt ground. Later Gamescom and FrightFest sessions put a prologue build in front of press. Those sessions covered the crash on LV-921 rather than finished station floors.
In August 2026, Creative Assembly released Kurosaki worker patches with role marks for maintenance, recreation, mining, medical, transport, security, and colony police.
