Dr. Lily Pearce was Weyland-Yutani's head xenobiologist at Storr's Boon on LV-558 in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. She spent three years in the company's hidden labs and made Acidium from Xenomorph acid. A short accidental exposure left her in pain, and she used a dead Engineer plus more than a hundred colonists to build Engineer hybrids as a treatment. In 2207 she sent a distress call that pulled General Olivia Shipp's UAS Endeavor to the moon. The Queen ran her through after she tried to control the hive, then Shipp shot her.
Head Xenobiologist
Pearce ran the secret labs behind the Storr's Boon mine for three years, from about 2204 to 2207, while the company kept a real mine running as cover. Weyland-Yutani listed her as head xenobiologist. She had graduated at the top of her class in chemistry, a detail Shipp later put in the campaign brief. Pearce preferred plants and animals to people, and she treated the Xenomorphs in those labs with the same interest.
Acidium Exposure
Pearce refined Xenomorph acid into Acidium as a prototype chemical weapon. Company scientists under her developed it on LV-558 between 2204 and 2207, and they stored the finished gas as a glowing green fluid in sealed tanks. She was accidentally exposed to a short dose of her own gas. She treated the result as an allergic reaction, but it left her in constant pain. Her skin went pale, dark veins showed through her face, and her eyes no longer matched. One iris glowed amber. That is the look on the distress call that reached the Endeavor. Weyland-Yutani refused to treat her or pay her for the injury, and other company staff grew concerned enough to talk about getting rid of her.
Engineer Hybrids
Miners at Storr's Boon broke into a buried Engineer ship set into the canyon behind the colony. Pearce took that strike as an accident. The wreck held a dead Engineer, later stood up in a vapor-filled tank in the company lab. Pearce used that body, human DNA from more than a hundred colonists, and the pathogen to try to cure herself. Most of those people died, and the few that lived came out as Engineer hybrids. She kept the survivors frozen so the company could not take the work. Fireteam Banshee later killed about a dozen inside the hull during Ancient Anomaly.
Going Rogue
After the wreck turned up, Pearce asked Weyland-Yutani for classified Engineer files so she could finish a treatment. The company sent the warship Demetrius instead of those files. An executive made it clear that the company meant to take the discovery, so Pearce turned on them. She let a Runner out of confinement, and that Runner killed the executive. She also tried to sabotage the warship and set the hive loose on the colony. Packs of Working Joes and Bulwark crabs later stood between the fireteams and her labs.
Pearce could not open the Engineer research database from the wreck on her own. The system searched for anyone near LV-558 who had authorization and returned Esther 1089-12/A7, the Endeavor synthetic who had examined Engineer ruins and a ship with probes. The distress call that reached Shipp was bait to bring Fireteam Banshee, and Esther with them, so Pearce could use that access to finish the hybrids. Banshee went down first under Captain Feiyan Ko, then dropped out of contact after their dropship crashed.
Trying To Control The Xenomorphs
Pearce had found a way to steer the lesser castes on LV-558, but control over the Queen was weaker than that hold. After Fireteam Banshee destroyed the hybrids, she released the Queen during Final Endeavor to stop the Marines. She stood in front of that Queen with a control device while Fireteam Chimaera closed in on the hive.
Wounded By The Queen's Tail
Pearce struck the Queen with a stun baton when the creature stopped answering her. The Queen knocked her across the room and drove its tail through her chest. Fireteam Chimaera then fought the Queen in that same room, in front of Pearce, while smaller castes tried to keep the Marines off her. The fireteam killed those adult Xenomorphs and then killed the Queen. Pearce survived that wound long enough for Shipp to reach her.
Shot By Shipp
Shipp reached Pearce after the Queen had run her through. Pearce wanted to be killed, and Shipp shot the wounded xenobiologist. Shipp then returned to the Endeavor and sent the closing report. That file ended the LV-558 campaign for the Corps after Fireteam Chimaera killed the Queen and after Pearce died at Storr's Boon.
Behind The Scenes
Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak Game Company shipped Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 on 25 August 2026, with 20th Century Games. Pearce is a campaign antagonist, not a playable Marine. The announcement and Xenomorph showcase trailers open on her distress call from LV-558. Early trailers spelled her name Pierce on that call. The shipped game uses Pearce.
Conclusion
Dr. Lily Pearce was Weyland-Yutani's head xenobiologist at Storr's Boon on LV-558. Acidium left her sick, she built Engineer hybrids to treat it, and she turned the hive on the company when they moved to take the work. The Queen ran her through in 2207, and General Olivia Shipp then shot her.
