Lasershot Predator: The Cybernetic Bad Blood Yautja
Lasershot Predator was a cybernetically enhanced Bad Blood Predator and member of the Rogue Space Tribe. Unlike most traditional Yautja, Lasershot became obsessed with biomechanical augmentation and transformed himself into a living weapon through extensive surgical modifications. His body contained multiple cybernetic systems, including a mechanical arm, targeting eye implant, defensive shield technology, and specialized ranged weapons. Because of his dangerous personality and disregard for the Yautja Honor Code, Lasershot became one of the most unusual Predators in expanded Predator lore.
The Lasershot Predator
Lasershot stood over 7 feet tall and possessed several visible cybernetic enhancements across his body. He had light red dreadlocks, a glowing red cybernetic eye, and heavily modified armor unlike that of most Predator types. Even among Bad Bloods, Lasershot was considered highly unusual because he preferred artificial modifications over traditional Yautja hunting methods. He eventually became associated with the Rogue Space Tribe, a group of violent Predators that accepted his dangerous experiments in exchange for his surgical and technological expertise.

Cybernetic Enhancements
Lasershot modified his body with numerous biomechanical upgrades that turned him into a heavily armed cyborg hunter. His left arm was replaced with a cybernetic limb equipped with interchangeable claw weapons, while his right eye became a targeting implant that projected a laser directly from his face. This made him the only known Predator whose targeting laser came from his eye instead of a bio-mask. His gauntlet also contained claw-like wristblades and could generate a defensive energy shield during combat. These modifications made Lasershot radically different from more traditional Yautja hunters.
Weapons And Equipment
Unlike most Predators, Lasershot relied heavily on experimental weapons and technological systems instead of standard hunting gear. His shoulder cannon could fire either a grappling hook or a large claw projectile capable of pulling enemies toward him. He also carried modified wrist weapons, defensive shielding technology, and a customized bio-mask linked directly to his cybernetic targeting systems. Because of his obsession with self-modification, Lasershot used traditional Predator weapons far less often than most Yautja. His equipment reflected his belief that technology and surgery could create the ultimate hunter.

Member Of The Rogue Space Tribe
Lasershot was raised without a Clan and developed into a violent sociopath with little respect for traditional Yautja customs. His only true obsession became the pursuit of increasingly advanced cybernetic augmentations. Eventually, his surgical knowledge and technical expertise attracted the attention of the Rogue Space Tribe. Their leader, Spiked Tail, tolerated Lasershot's dangerous experiments because of the value he brought to the group. Another member of the tribe, Armored Lost, also worked alongside him despite his unstable personality. Among the Rogue Space Tribe, Lasershot became one of the most technologically altered Predators ever seen.
Kenner And NECA Origins
Lasershot originally appeared as part of Kenner's 1994 Predator toy line before later receiving an updated redesign by NECA. The modern NECA version expanded the character's lore and heavily emphasized his biomechanical modifications. His unique appearance, cybernetic weapons, and glowing targeting eye made him one of the most visually distinctive Predators from the Kenner era. Some fans also noticed similarities between Lasershot and the later Bionic Predator from Predator: Hunting Grounds, leading to theories that the newer character may have been inspired by Lasershot's design.
Conclusion
Lasershot Predator was one of the strangest and most technologically enhanced Yautja in expanded Predator lore. As a Bad Blood member of the Rogue Space Tribe, he abandoned many traditional hunting customs in favor of cybernetic self-modification and experimental weapon systems. His bionic eye, mechanical arm, shield technology, and surgical expertise made him unlike almost any other Predator ever encountered. Although he originated from a toy line, Lasershot later became one of the most memorable cybernetic Predators in the wider Alien vs. Predator universe.
