Female Replicants: Blade Runner Character Profiles

Female replicants are bioengineered women built by the Tyrell and Wallace corporations for off-world labor, combat, pleasure, and research. In the Blade Runner films and series they serve as soldiers, entertainers, assistants, and test subjects for implanted memories. Several escape to Earth and are hunted by blade runners, while others remain loyal to their makers or join the replicant underground. Later models raise the question of whether a replicant can bear a child, a possibility that drives much of the series' later conflict. Each profile covers the character's model, purpose, relationships, and fate.
