Blade Runner Movies: Plot, Cast And Production
These two Blade Runner films are Ridley Scott's 1982 picture and Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049. The first follows Rick Deckard's Nexus-6 hunt in wet November 2019 Los Angeles, drawn from Philip K. Dick's 1968 novel. The sequel is set thirty years later, when Officer K finds proof a replicant gave birth and the case leads him to Niander Wallace, ruined Las Vegas, and Deckard. K. W. Jeter's authorized novels sit as Blade Runner Books, an alternate line the 2017 film does not use. The wider franchise pages sit under Blade Runner Lore.
