Yaquita was a female Yautja of the Wounded Clan in Tim Lebbon's Alien vs. Predator: Armageddon. She had lost both legs, and she moved on a wheeled platform that took her height to more than nine feet. In December 2692 she met Isa Palant in a Yautja lab, pulled the name Drukathi from the damaged Rage android Oscar, then flew a cloaked ship into the hangar of the Rage flagship Macbeth. Xenomorphs stormed that ship and killed her.
Wounded Clan And The Lab
In December 2692, Isa Palant reached a hidden Yautja base inside an asteroid in the Gamma Quadrant with Major Akoko Halley, in Alien vs. Predator: Armageddon. A hunter left them in a low-ceilinged lab, locked the damaged Rage android in a blue isolation field, and told them Yaquita would come soon. Sample cubes rose from the floor around the cell, one holding a silver-skinned limb, another a gemmed sphere that kept changing color, and a third a fist-sized Firespitter Halley's squad had met years earlier in the Delta Quadrant.
Yaquita rolled in on the wheeled platform, gave her name, and told them not to fear her. Palant took her for female but could not be sure, and could not tell whether age or injury had worn her down. Palant praised the samples, and Yaquita laughed, then rolled straight at Palant and Halley until they stepped aside. Palant named the wrecked android Oscar, after a childhood dog, and the two of them started the interrogation together.
Oscar's legs were torn, his chest was split, and his smashed head showed a brain that was a computer set in flesh. Yaquita pulled a broken set of teeth from his mouth so he could speak, then fitted an octopus-like device into the ruined skull and moved its tentacles until they seated. Palant asked the questions while Yaquita watched screens on a sphere that had risen from the floor.
Drukathi And The Macbeth Plan
Hours into that work Yaquita tore the device free, dropped the isolation field, and rolled past the sample cases while she fought for breath. The translator took longer than usual, then gave Palant a single word: Drukathi. Yaquita treated that name as a change that reached past the interrogation.
Kalakta later named her a warrior of the Wounded Clan when Palant stood in a holocabin that opened into a jungle. He had ordered that work, then gave Palant only enough to fight the Rage. Palant had already started a plan, and Yaquita was helping her.
When Oscar began shutting himself down, Yaquita held that her blocks still covered him. Palant pulled the android's heart free anyway, and the organ heated in her hands. Yaquita lifted Palant onto the platform, turned her own body toward the blast, and shielded her while Halley fired. Oscar and the table melted into a smoking mass, and Yaquita then told them she knew where Macbeth sat.
Pixie And The Hidden Portal
Yaquita rolled onto Pixie's bridge without being asked and locked the platform beside an empty seat. The ship's computer, Billy, reshaped one freezer so she could fit. She loaded Oscar's coordinates into the human systems, treated the run as a joint action, and used Halley's rank for the first time. Two Yautja escorts led them into a tunnel that opened in the asteroid wall, then into a hall with a star burning at its heart. Yaquita climbed into the rebuilt freezer on her own, and she fit only because her legs were gone.
After a later jump she stayed on the bridge while the humans woke. The clocks put their sleep at about eighteen minutes. The drop placed them in the Solar System, outside Pluto's orbit, through the Alpha 7 drophole.
Macbeth
Yaquita's cloaked ship slipped into Macbeth's hangar while Liliya walked out of Pixie to meet Beatrix Maloney. Twenty-three Xenomorphs held the bay. On Halley's mark Yaquita dropped the cloak, opened with the ship's smaller laser, and cut down the first wave so Palant and Halley's soldiers could leave. Palant kept the translator as their only line back to her. Yaquita held ready to blow the hull if the strike failed.
She did not leave with them, and shortly after that ship entered the hangar, Xenomorphs stormed it and killed her. On a second cloaked hull, Hashori made a few sharp hand signs, spoke an angry line, finished a short rite, and kept flying. Palant later reached a chamber that held the Faze, or a piece of it, and still used the Drukathi trail Yaquita had opened in Oscar's mind.
Appearance And Weapons
Yaquita stood more than nine feet tall once she was on the platform, both legs gone, and she chose wheels over hover gear. Floor-length dreadlocks swept the deck without ever catching in the wheels, dark tattoos covered her skin, and her tusks were yellow, worn, and cracked. One eye was a clicking artificial implant that turned as it tracked, the other gave Palant nothing, and long, fine fingers stood out against her huge hands.
Palant guessed she was female and still could not be sure, and could not tell if Yaquita was old and worn or young and badly hurt. In the lab she worked with an octopus-like device seated in a ruined skull and a sphere of screens that rose from the floor. On Macbeth she fired the ship's smaller laser from the bridge and kept the hull ready to explode if the boarding party failed.
Similar Predators
The Hook Predator from AvP: Thicker Than Blood also kept hunting after a limb loss. He was a disgraced Elder whose arm and leg were trapped in an elevator on a luxury liner. His son Splitter cut the ruined limbs free with a plasma whip, and a makeshift peg let Hook walk again. Hook then killed the Xenomorph on that ship and escaped. His two sons did not. Yaquita lost both legs and chose a wheeled platform instead of a false limb.
Conclusion
Yaquita was the Wounded Clan hunter who met Palant in the asteroid lab, pulled Drukathi from Oscar, and flew a cloaked ship into Macbeth's hangar. Xenomorphs killed her there, Hashori marked the death and went on, and Palant kept using the trail Yaquita had opened.
