Siberian was a tactical soldier of the Prodigy Corporation in Alien: Earth, serving in the company's tactical response unit in Prodigy City, New Siam. In 2120 she was among the first soldiers into the wreck of the USCSS Maginot with Sergeant Rashidi and medic Joe Hermit, and she later followed the squad to the Neverland research island. There she helped stop Hermit from escaping with two hybrids, then died during the Neverland lockdown when a loose specimen dropped on her inside a laboratory.
Biography
Prodigy Tactical Unit
Siberian belonged to a Prodigy tactical squad led by Sergeant Rashidi, a close-knit unit that also included the soldier Brahma and the medic Joe Hermit. Off duty the squad spent its time on the rooftop of the tactical headquarters above Prodigy City, playing ball games and teasing one another between shifts. On the day of the crash Siberian and Rashidi pressed Hermit about his future with the company, and he explained that he had to serve out his contract before he could think about medical school. The talk was cut short when a shadow passed over the roof and the soldiers looked up at a falling starship.
The Maginot Crash
The Weyland-Yutani research vessel Maginot tore through the skyline and slammed into a residential tower, covering the rooftop in dust and debris. Siberian came through the blast unhurt, and the unit was ordered to the crash site within minutes to locate survivors, evacuate the wounded and secure the area. At the tower the soldiers moved floor by floor through smoke and wreckage, calling out to residents and checking apartments for anyone still alive. Siberian stayed with Rashidi and Hermit as the squad worked toward the breach where the ship had buried itself in the building.
Search And Rescue
Inside the Maginot the squad split up, with Siberian following Rashidi and Hermit while two other soldiers took the opposite corridor. In the hypersleep chamber they found Maginot crew members dead, and they began following a trail of blood deeper into the ship. Hermit judged from the coagulated blood that the bodies had been dead for a week or more, long before the crash. Siberian pointed out that the squad was search and rescue and that working out what had happened aboard was a job for forensics.
The trail led the team to the medical bay, where doctor Rahim, science officer Chibuzo and apprentice engineer Malachite lay dead around an interrupted surgery. Hermit read the medical logs and noted foreign bodies in the patient, while Siberian guessed at depressurization before he pointed to signs of a toxin instead. None of them knew that a Xenomorph was already moving through the ship around them.
The Broken Stairwell
Leaving the ship, the three soldiers came out into a wrecked stairwell of the tower, where a section of the stairs had collapsed into a wide gap. Siberian balked at the jump at first, then made it with Rashidi, catching the far edge and hanging over the drop until he hauled her to safety. When Hermit tried to follow, the Xenomorph lunged from a hole above him, and he fell short onto a lower floor with the creature in pursuit. Siberian and Rashidi rushed to help, but they were separated from Hermit, who later tried to raise them over the radio without an answer.
Posting To Neverland
After the site was secured, the surviving squad was reassigned to Prodigy's island research facility, Neverland, where the Maginot specimens were taken for study. Hermit, who had been brought to the island separately, asked founder Boy Kavalier whether Rashidi and Siberian were safe and was told the information was confidential. Kavalier then showed him the pair on a video feed, and the soldiers told Hermit that the whole squad now worked on the island, or what was left of it.
On the island the unit pulled rain-soaked jungle patrols in case Weyland-Yutani tried to take the specimens back by force. Siberian said she preferred the bugs, lizards and slugs outside to whatever was being kept in the labs, because outside she at least knew where the monsters were. When Hermit began asking about boats and the distance to the mainland, she saw through him at once and told him to stop planning, since the squad was alive, paid and had a good thing going.
Standoff At The Docks
Hermit ignored the warning and led his sister Wendy and the hybrid Nibs to the Neverland boat dock in an attempt to flee the island. Siberian had predicted he would try it, and she and Rashidi were waiting at the boat with other security personnel as he went to start the motor. Rashidi tried to talk Hermit down, but the standoff broke into a violent fight, and it ended only when Hermit himself shot Nibs. The escape failed, and Hermit and the hybrids were taken back into custody.
Lockdown On Neverland
When the escaped Xenomorph and other specimens got loose on Neverland, Siberian and Rashidi escorted the hybrid program's mentor Dame Sylvia to a secure room, cleared it and told her to keep the doors locked while they went to find other assets and secure Kavalier. With the alert raised and communications down, the two soldiers decided to follow protocol and rally at the armory for heavier weapons, despite Siberian's fear of ending up as prey. On the way an elevator stalled and an intercom announced a self-destruct countdown, a hoax that left them shaken but unharmed. Moving on with one forearm splinted, Siberian argued with Rashidi about Hermit, who had shot Nibs but was still one of their own.
Death In The Lab
The search led Siberian, Rashidi and the rest of the team into a darkened laboratory where specimen containment had already failed. Above them hung the escaped D. Plumbicare, the plant-like predator from the Maginot zoo, and it seized Siberian from the ceiling and dragged her upward as she fired and screamed. She was killed before Rashidi could pull her free, becoming one of the Prodigy soldiers lost on Neverland as the hybrids took the island for themselves.
Personality And Traits
Siberian was a wary and methodical soldier who trusted her weapons to see her through whatever she faced. She kept to her role on the Maginot search, leaving questions about the dead crew to forensics, and she preferred jungle patrols to the labs because a threat she could see felt safer than one locked behind a door. Her bluntness came with a dry sense of humor, and she joked easily with Rashidi and Hermit on the rooftop and in the field.
Loyalty to the squad and to the company pulled in the same direction for her until Hermit chose his sister over Prodigy. Siberian read his escape plan before he acted on it, warned him off, and then stood at the dock to stop him when he tried anyway. Even after the fight she still counted him as one of them, a sign that her hard edges sat on top of real attachment to the people she served with.
Equipment
As a member of the Prodigy tactical response unit, Siberian was armed with the unit's bullpup Modular Combat System Mark X pulse rifle, the standard weapon of Prodigy's search and rescue and security forces. During the Maginot search she wore a combat helmet with a mounted light and a headset microphone, together with a tactical vest and body armor, and kept in radio contact with the rest of the squad.
On Neverland she wore the unit's dark security uniform, adding a hooded rain poncho for the jungle patrols that guarded the island against a Weyland-Yutani raid. She leveled her rifle at Hermit and the hybrids during the standoff at the boat dock, carried it through the lockdown with one forearm in a splint, and was still firing it when the D. Plumbicare lifted her from the laboratory floor.
Behind The Scenes
Siberian was played by Diêm Camille, an Ivorian-Danish actress, in the first season of Alien: Earth, which premiered on FX and Hulu on August 12, 2025. Her agent sent her the audition for an untitled Alien project, and she recorded a self-tape with fellow actor Thue Rasmussen reading opposite her. She was called back the very next day, but the Monday meeting with casting director Kate Rhodes James turned out to be a conversation with showrunner Noah Hawley rather than another audition. At the time she was filming The Wheel of Time in Prague, and Hawley closed the meeting by asking whether she could fly home and then leave for six months of shooting in Thailand days later.
Camille has said that Siberian drew on Parker from Alien and Vasquez from Aliens, though she set out to make the character her own rather than copy either. She looked for the vulnerability behind the soldier, playing Siberian as superstitious about Hermit because his medical work kept him close to the dead, and treating her toughness as armor over real fear. For the hybrids she approached Siberian as a guard handling children who were far stronger than she was, someone who had to command their respect and restrain them without harming the company's most valuable assets.
Her first day on set was the exterior crash scene, with the Maginot hanging from the Prodigy tower and hundreds of extras playing the wounded in the Thai heat. The cast trained with military advisers and veterans before filming, and the production built the Maginot interiors, the cryo pods and the collapsed stairwell as practical sets, relying on practical effects over digital work wherever possible. Camille has also credited directors Ugla Hauksdóttir, Dana Gonzales and Hawley with making the shoot a supportive experience.
Conclusion
Siberian was one of the Prodigy soldiers who first walked into the wreck of the Maginot, survived the Xenomorph in the tower and followed her squad to Neverland. She tried to keep Hermit inside the company's rules, stopped his escape at the docks, and died in the Neverland lockdown when the D. Plumbicare took her from the laboratory ceiling.
