Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part Two is the announced second half of Survios' two-part action-horror story about former Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks and her android partner Davis 01. Part One launched on PlayStation VR2 and PC VR on 19 December 2024 and ended on a cliffhanger at Castor's Cradle on the planet Purdan. Survios confirmed the sequel the same day, but former staff said in April 2026 that the studio had been essentially shuttered, and no cancellation has ever been announced.

Announcement And Evolved Edition

Players spotted the split before any announcement, because the opening titles, the trophy list, and the store pages all carried the words Part One. On launch day Road to VR reported that the sequel would continue Zula's story against deadlier enemies and more difficult challenges. After complaints that the split had not been made clear, Survios posted a statement on 23 December 2024 calling Part One a standalone adventure, apologizing for the confusion, and promising updates later. Part One scored 76 on PlayStation VR2 and 80 on PC VR at Metacritic, Road to VR gave it 7 out of 10, and the Meta Quest 3 version followed on 13 February 2025.

In June 2025 a Survios administrator wrote on Discord that VR updates were paused while the team built Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition, a non-VR version for PC and consoles. Some Quest buyers asked for refunds, a Survios representative told UploadVR by phone that Part Two work would continue, and on 6 June Survios posted that Part Two was still in development and would be shown as soon as the horrors were ready to hatch. The Evolved Edition launched on 30 September 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, received its biggest patch on 11 December 2025, and reached Nintendo Switch 2 on 21 April 2026. None of these releases came with a date, trailer, or screenshot for the sequel.

Survios Layoffs

On 30 April 2026, combat designer Dylan Ralston wrote on LinkedIn that Survios, as it then stood, would be essentially shuttered and that everyone responsible for development was being let go. Senior game designer Alissa Smith said she and most of the development team had been laid off after three years on Rogue Incursion in VR, flatscreen, and console form. Senior technical sound designer Tim Schumann also said the studio was shutting down, and another employee wrote that the cuts had been coming for a while.

Game Developer reported the layoffs on 1 May 2026, and UploadVR, Road to VR, and Nintendo Life followed within days. Nintendo Life warned that players might never see the conclusion of Rogue Incursion, while Road to VR noted that Survios itself had announced no shutdown. UploadVR added that the VR version had topped Sony's PlayStation VR2 sales chart as recently as February 2026, and that the full scope of the layoffs remained uncertain.

How Rogue Incursion Part One Ends

A medpod arm lifting the dead Chestburster embryo out of Zula Hendricks in Alien: Rogue Incursion

Zula came to Castor's Cradle, a Gemini Exoplanet Solutions facility on Purdan, after her old friend Benjamin Carver warned her that his employer was hiding crimes. Anti-aircraft fire brought down her ship, and inside the base she found Xenomorphs everywhere. A Facehugger impregnated Zula, and Davis was so badly damaged that she detached his head and uploaded his mind into her terminal. With an embryo growing in her chest, she lifted a saboteur's communications blackout and sent a warning about the company to Amanda Ripley.

Zula set her ship's reactor to overload to destroy the base and the infestation with it, but a facility android called Helen shut it down and offered a special medpod to remove the embryo. Davis persuaded the wary Zula to accept, and the chestburster removal succeeded, though the embryo was somehow already dead. Moments later a Praetorian broke in and destroyed Helen before Zula killed it.

Carver then called over the comms, alive and hiding with other survivors in the facility's secret sublevels. Zula took a classified elevator down to sublevel S1, and when the doors opened a hostile synthetic attacked her as the screen cut to black. The saboteur, the source of the outbreak, and the secrets below Castor's Cradle were all left for Part Two.

Current Status

In October 2026, Part Two has no release date, no platforms, and no official cancellation. Fans on the Steam forums treat it as cancelled, but Survios has not withdrawn its earlier statements or removed the Part One wording from its store pages and official site. No source has reported the sequel moving to another studio, and no leak has shown footage or a build. With the original team gone and nothing said since June 2025, the project is best described as stalled and unlikely, and a revival would most likely need a new team or partner.

For now, the elevator ambush is the last scene of Zula's fight at Castor's Cradle. The nearest confirmed Alien game is Alien: Isolation 2, which Sega has listed for 2027, and other projects are tracked on the upcoming Alien games hub.
