The Emma Frost Xenomorph Queen was the Xenomorph Queen that grew from the X-Men telepath Emma Frost in Marvel's Alien vs. X-Men, the 2026 crossover written by Kieron Gillen. Emma was taken by a Facehugger aboard the ship of Orbis Stellaris after the X-Men went looking for a Phoenix egg and found Xenomorph eggs instead. The Queen that came from her carried Emma's diamond form and her telepathy, and she used both to rule the hive after the ship crashed outside Xavier's School. The series was still running after its second issue in October 2026, so her story remained unfinished.

Biography

Emma Frost Facehugged

A Facehugger crawling toward the acid-burned Emma Frost as she knelt over Cyclops in Alien vs. X-Men

Emma Frost joined Cyclops, Beast, Kitty Pryde and Wolverine on a deep-space mission to take the Phoenix egg from the villain Orbis Stellaris. Wolverine killed him aboard his ship, and the team searched for the egg until Beast opened a chamber thick with resin and rows of Xenomorph eggs. A Facehugger leaped out, Cyclops blasted it on instinct, and its acid blood splashed across his face and killed him. While Emma knelt beside his body, another Facehugger crawled toward her through the smoke and clamped onto her face.

Kitty Pryde was taken the same way. When Beast and Wolverine reached the two women, Beast found both alive but unconscious, each held by some manner of parasite. Wolverine told him to get them out, and the two men carried Emma and Kitty back toward the Blackbird. After seeing what the acid had done to Cyclops, they did not want to risk another fight inside the hive, so they ran with the women over their shoulders.

Beast recorded that they could not seal the door in time. Wolverine held the Xenomorphs back, and Beast believed he could win, but the acid was too much, and Logan went down with a Facehugger on his own face. Beast's log broke off before he could finish describing the research he had gathered. When Cable arrived from the future, he told the remaining X-Men that the creatures took on the genetic properties of whatever they incubated inside, and that the Queen now leading them had come from Emma Frost.

Holding Wolverine In The Hive

On Earth, the Queen made her nest inside the crashed ship and kept Wolverine cocooned in resin as a living host. A Facehugger gripped his face while her brood grew, and Cable later called the clawed offspring that came from him the Logan hybrids. These Wolverine Xenomorphs carried his bone claws and were monstrous Xenomorph hybrids that duplicated every four hours. When Logan woke in the nest, the Queen rose over him with blue light crackling across her body and hissed into his face. "What the hell are you?" he asked, and she reached for him with a claw charged with the same light.

Her body matched Emma's mutant diamond form, a faceted blue crystal that ran from the crest of her head down to her claws and glittered in the dark of the ship. In outline she resembled the Xenomorph Queen of the films, with a broad crest, long limbs and an inner jaw, but her surface looked like cut stone rather than resin. Cable's team warned that she was only the first stage, because the hive meant to take Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man, as a host. A Madrox Xenomorph would raise the alien population from twenty-four to thirty thousand within seventy-two minutes.

Calling Victims To The Ship

The Queen's telepathy reached far beyond the hive. At the school, Professor Charles Xavier felt a psychic attack and traced it to the ship and the alien, as the people around him clutched their heads in pain. Across Westchester, crowds dropped to their knees and then rose and began walking toward the crash site. Cable described this as stage one, with the Alien Queen calling victims to her nest, and explained that his own team wore psychic blocks for exactly that reason. His people had watched the outbreak from orbit and knew how quickly it spread.

Cable then led a strike team into the ship to stop the hive before stage two, with Nightcrawler among the mutants he chose. His people opened fire with flamethrowers, and the blaze caught the Queen in the tunnels and lit her crystal body orange and white. She turned and fled deeper into the nest as one of the attackers shouted after her to run, and the team pressed on to find the captives before the hive could use them. Her fate was still unresolved at the end of the second issue, with Alien vs. X-Men scheduled to continue in November 2026.

Personality & Abilities

The Queen inherited the two gifts Emma was best known for in Marvel comics. Her diamond body gave her a hard crystal hide, and her telepathy let her broadcast a call strong enough to stagger Charles Xavier and draw strangers across Westchester toward the ship. She also led the hive, kept Wolverine alive as a host for the Logan hybrids and showed crackling energy along her claws. One of Cable's allies summed up the danger by saying the Xenomorphs took mutant gifts and used them exactly the way everyone had feared mutants would. Psychic blocks protected Cable's team, and fire drove her back.

Behind The Scenes

The Emma Frost Xenomorph Queen was created for Alien vs. X-Men by writer Kieron Gillen and artist Geraldo Borges, with colors by Andrew Dalhouse and letters by Travis Lanham. Marvel published the four-issue crossover with 20th Century Studios, releasing the first issue on September 30, 2026, and the second on October 28, 2026, both behind covers by Ryan Stegman. Solicitations for the second issue promised that the new Alien Queen would make her terrifying presence known. Each issue also carried a backup story by Chris Claremont that pitted a young Kitty Pryde against the Brood and the Xenomorphs.

Emma Frost was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne and first appeared in The X-Men #129 in 1980 as the White Queen of the Hellfire Club. Her transformation followed the Mr. Sinister Xenomorph of Aliens vs. Avengers, an earlier Marvel story in which a mutant host shaped a Queen-like hybrid. Her pale crystal body also set her beside the albino Xenomorphs of the expanded franchise, and she became one of the newest Xenomorph types in the Alien comics. The comic itself called her only the Alien Queen.

Conclusion

The Emma Frost Xenomorph Queen grew from the X-Men telepath after a Facehugger took her beside the dead Cyclops on the ship of Orbis Stellaris. On Earth she ruled the nest in the crashed ship, kept Wolverine as a living host, called the people of Westchester toward her by telepathy and fled into the hive when Cable's team turned flamethrowers on her. Her story was still unfinished after the second issue of Alien vs. X-Men.
