Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is out. Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak Game Company shipped the four-player co-op sequel on August 25, 2026, five years after Aliens: Fireteam Elite. It is on sale now on the PlayStation Store, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is still due later in 2026.
Launch Trailer
Cold Iron posted a launch trailer as the game went live. The clip puts a Colonial Marine fireteam against Xenomorphs, hostile synthetics, and the results of rogue bioweapon work after a distress call. Daybreak and Cold Iron have described that drop as a fight for survival rather than a rescue.
What Ships On Day One
Squad size is now four Marines, up from three in the first game. The remade class list is in at launch, along with the custom Specialist kit, extra story cutscenes, and more than one Horde map ready on day one. The campaign continues from the LV-895 Fireteam story, and the enemy list adds new Xenomorph types plus pathogen creatures and synthetics.
Platforms And Editions
In the US, the digital Standard Edition is $49.99. The 40th Anniversary Premium Edition is $69.99 and adds two cosmetic packs: Ripley's Hive Exterminator Pack, built around Ellen Ripley's climax gear from Aliens, and Herk Mondo's Pest Pack from the Dark Horse comics. Standard owners can buy the same two packs later as the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition Upgrade for $19.99. Separate from Premium, Rain's Jackson's Star Pack is $9.99 and brings Alien: Romulus cosmetics into the sequel. Those prices were set when Cold Iron locked the August 25, 2026 date in July.
