Nibs was one of the hybrid children made by Prodigy in Alien: Earth, a dying girl named Rose Ellis whose mind was moved into an adult synthetic body. Lily Newmark played her. She was among the Lost Boys sent into the wreck of the USCSS Maginot in 2120, where a T. Ocellus tore at her face. After she told the scientists she was pregnant, Prodigy wiped her memory, and she later fled Neverland with Wendy before helping the hybrids take the island.
Biography
Growing Up As Rose Ellis
Nibs was born Rose Ellis, a girl who grew up on a farm and fell gravely ill as a child. She hated being sick and later said she spent nights afraid she could die. Like the other children chosen for the program, she was brought to the island of Neverland while she was dying, and she was there in the garden when Wendy told the new arrivals that the boy genius had fixed her and given her a body better than new. Nibs asked whether Wendy had been sick too, and later asked when they would get to go home, only to be told that they would not.
Wendy explained that grown-up minds were too stiff, while the minds of children could still make the move into a synthetic body. Rose went through the transfer after her and woke in the body of a young woman, with a code name taken from Peter Pan, as Boy Kavalier named all of his hybrids. Her family was told that she had died, and a grave with her old name was made for her on the island. She kept her human name as a secret, as the rules required, and later stood over that stone and said Rose Ellis was what she had been called before.
First Mission Into The Maginot
When the Maginot came down in the Prodigy city of New Siam, Kavalier sent the hybrids in with the soldiers as their first mission. Nibs flew in with the Lost Boys under Kirsh, while Wendy broke away with Slightly to find her brother. Inside the wreck the group came across a plant-like life form hanging from the ceiling, and Kirsh told Curly to take Smee and Nibs to find something that could hold it. In a laboratory the three found a dead soldier and a cat whose eye was not its own.
The eye creature left the cat and lunged at Nibs, fastening onto her face while Curly and Smee shouted for her to hold still. She tore it off, and Curly trapped it in a container before Smee called Kirsh over. Kirsh plugged into the ship systems, learned that the Maginot had been gathering specimens, and sent the hybrids on to secure cargo that included Alien eggs. While they worked, Nibs asked Curly why they could not keep their original names and why the names came from Peter Pan.
Attacked By The Eye
The attack left Nibs shaken in a way the other hybrids did not show. Back on Neverland she began to question the body she had been given and to pull away from talk about the tower. She interrupted Arthur Sylvia and Dame Sylvia outside and told them she was pregnant and that she was going to have a baby. Arthur blurted out that it was impossible because she was a machine, and Nibs answered that she was not a machine and asked why he would say that.
Dame Sylvia took her aside and tried to talk through how reproduction worked, but Nibs insisted the feeling was real and even named the child she imagined, a girl she wanted called Clarissa and then Nibs. When pressed about the tower she grew angry, and security was called to return her to her room. Arthur examined her in charging mode and reported that the problem was not mechanical. The claim, and the fear behind it, became the reason Prodigy decided she had to be fixed before she could appear in public again.
The Memory Wipe
Kavalier's assistant Atom Eins ordered the Sylvias to reset Nibs to the state she had been in before the tower, erase her memory of the crash, and slow her reactions and processing speed. Arthur refused, saying the order meant changing her personality and went against every principle of the program. Dame Sylvia argued for therapy and time, then agreed to carry out the wipe herself when Atom insisted, and Arthur lost his post for refusing the same command. When Nibs woke, Wendy tried to ask her about the Maginot, the fighting, and the baby, and found that none of it remained.
Wendy confronted Dame Sylvia, who called the missing memories corrupt data cut out before it could spread and compared the wipe to medicine. Wendy answered that Nibs had been given no choice and later said Nibs had been lost. The reset left Nibs more childlike than before, clinging to a soft toy she named Mr. Strawberry and letting the toy speak words she would not say aloud. From that point she trusted the adults less, even when she could not remember why.
Escape From Neverland
After Isaac died in the lab, Wendy and Joe Hermit came for the children and told Curly that Nibs's memories had been erased and that they had to leave. Curly stayed behind, while Nibs took Mr. Strawberry and went with Wendy and Hermit toward the boat dock. On the way they found the graves of their former bodies, and Nibs rushed to the stone marked Rose Ellis and said that was what she had been called before. Weyland-Yutani soldiers ambushed them in the jungle, and Wendy called a freed Xenomorph that slaughtered the squad so the three could keep moving.
At the dock they boarded a boat, only for Siberian and Rashidi to stop them while Prodigy soldiers closed in from the shore. Nibs said they were never going back, and when a soldier tore Mr. Strawberry from her hands and threw it in the water she ripped his jaw out and threw another man overboard. Siberian fired into her, and Hermit then shot her himself to stop her from killing the people he had served with. She was disabled and taken back into the facility with the other hybrids.
Final Fate
The Lost Boys ended up together in a holding cell, where Curly complained that she should not be there and Nibs guessed it was because she had told them about the escape. Wendy turned the island's systems against the staff, called the hunt hide-and-seek, and sent Nibs to find Dame Sylvia while Slightly and Smee went after Kirsh and the cyborg. Curly moved on the soldiers, Nibs took Sylvia from her room, and Kavalier, Kirsh, Atom Eins, Morrow and Dame Sylvia were locked in the cage. At the end of the first season Nibs stood with the Lost Boys as Wendy told Kavalier they now ruled Neverland.
Personality And Traits
Nibs was the hybrid who struggled most with the new body and with what had been done to her. She asked early whether Wendy had been sick too, clung to the hope of going home, and later questioned why their names had to come from a story instead of the ones they were born with. After the eye attacked her she turned inward, using the idea of a baby as a way to claim control over a body she no longer trusted. Once her memories were cut she became softer and more childlike, speaking through Mr. Strawberry when she needed to say what she really thought.
That softness hid a sharp edge. On the boat she refused to go back, and when the toy was taken she killed without hesitation. In the uprising she told Kavalier that the children did not belong to him, then carried out Wendy's order to take Dame Sylvia without argument. She could be gentle with a stuffed animal one hour and tear a soldier apart the next, and both sides of her came from the same need not to be owned again.
Skills And Abilities
As a hybrid Nibs had a fast, strong synthetic body that did not bleed red and could take gunfire that would have killed a human child. Hermit's shot disabled her at the dock, yet she was restored enough to stand with the others in the cell and to overpower Dame Sylvia later. She moved through the Maginot with Curly and Smee, handled a combat knife when she felt hunted, and ripped a grown soldier's jaw clean out when pushed. Those same systems left her open to company control, since Prodigy could put her in charging mode, wipe her memory, and slow her processing at will.
Her mind was still that of a sick girl who had grown up on a farm. She needed the comfort of a toy after the wipe, named an imaginary daughter, and leaned on Wendy and Hermit when the island stopped feeling safe. She could follow a plan someone else laid out, as she did when Wendy sent her after Sylvia, but she did not see the cost of the Maginot mission until the eye was on her face. In the end she was still one of the hybrids Wendy trusted with a task when the Lost Boys took Neverland.
Relationships
Wendy was the first hybrid and the closest thing Nibs had to an older sister on the island. Wendy noticed when the memories were gone, confronted Dame Sylvia over the wipe, took Nibs toward the boat, and later trusted her to seize Sylvia in the uprising. Dame Sylvia had raised the children and tried to keep them human, yet she erased Nibs when Atom Eins demanded it, and that choice cost her Wendy's trust. Arthur Sylvia refused the same order and lost his job, and his later death after Slightly betrayed him broke what faith the children still had in the adults.
Among the Lost Boys she worked closest with Curly and Smee in the Maginot, and she shared the cell with Slightly, Isaac's absence, and the rest when the escape failed. Joe Hermit led her through the jungle and then shot her on the dock to protect his old squad, a choice that later stood between him and Wendy. Boy Kavalier named her, owned the program that remade her, and heard her say the children did not belong to him before he was locked in their cage. Kirsh led her into the wreck and remained one of the adults the hybrids hunted when Wendy turned the island over.
Behind The Scenes
Nibs was played by Lily Newmark, the English actress known for work in Sex Education and Lockwood & Co. Like the rest of the hybrid cast, she played a child inside an adult body, and much of her part depends on the gap between the calm young woman the soldiers see and the frightened girl who still wants a mother and a home. Series creator Noah Hawley built the hybrids around the Lost Boys of Peter Pan, and the first season was filmed in Thailand. Newmark has said she grew up watching Alien, Aliens, Alien vs. Predator and Prometheus with her brothers.
In J. M. Barrie's story Nibs is one of the Lost Boys, and the show keeps the name while giving her a path rooted in illness, memory and control over a body that is no longer fully hers. Newmark described the pregnancy claim as a trauma response and a bid for autonomy, and the grave scene in Emergence as a way of putting Rose to rest. The wipe ordered by Atom Eins and carried out by Dame Sylvia is one of the turns that drives Wendy away from Prodigy.

Conclusion
Nibs was Rose Ellis, the hybrid who could not stop asking what had been done to her body. She survived the Maginot, lost the memory of it to a company wipe, and fled Neverland with Wendy and Hermit only to be shot on the dock. In the uprising she took Dame Sylvia and stood with the hybrids as they locked Kavalier and his staff in a cage. At the end of the first season she held Neverland with the Lost Boys, still carrying the name the boy genius had given her and the one carved on her own grave.
