Bantam Alien Books: Comic Novels, Plot & Lore
Bantam Books is an American publisher in New York City, founded in 1945 by Walter B. Pitkin Jr., Sidney B. Kramer, and Ian and Betty Ballantine, and owned by Random House under Penguin Random House. Its Bantam Spectra imprint published nine Aliens novels in the United States from 1992 to 1998, each a Dark Horse Comics adaptation: Steve Perry's Earth Hive and Nightmare Asylum, The Female War with Stephani Perry, David Bischoff's Genocide, Robert Sheckley's Alien Harvest, Sandy Schofield's Rogue, S. D. Perry's Labyrinth and Berserker, and Yvonne Navarro's Music of the Spears. Orion issued the same books in the United Kingdom as Millennium. Spectra also published Predator and Aliens vs. Predator novels, but this list is the Aliens books only. After 1999 the English Aliens novels passed to DH Press, and Titan Books later reprinted the nine in omnibus volumes.

Aliens: Berserker is S. D. Perry's 1998 Bantam novel of John Wagner and Paul Mendoza's Dark Horse series Aliens: Frenzy. A Weyland-Yutani hunter-killer crew on the Nemesis uses the MAX exo-suit against Xenomorph infestations. After Deep 4 on Traon, Company officer Grigson sends them to space station DS 949.

Aliens: Music of the Spears is Yvonne Navarro's 1996 Bantam novel of Chet Williamson and Tim Hamilton's Dark Horse comic. Composer Damon Eddington records a live Xenomorph named Mozart in Manhattan for his Symphony of Hate, until the animal kills him and breaks into Presley Hall.

After the royal-jelly drug Fire kills an Iowa sprinter, Daniel Grant and Colonel Kozlowski take the Razzia to G-435, once called the Xenomorph homeworld. They find red and black hives at war and go in for queen-mother jelly.

Aliens: Nightmare Asylum is Steve Perry's 1993 Bantam novel of the Dark Horse comic, keeping Wilks and Billie after Alien 3. They reach General Spears's Third Base on a cargo drone, then watch him try to retake Earth with a Queen. The book ends on Gateway Station after Spears dies in the South African rain.

Aliens: The Female War is Steve Perry and S. D. Perry's 1993 Bantam novel of the Dark Horse comic. Android Ripley, Wilks, and Billie steal the Kurtz, take the Queen Mother from Xenomorph Prime, and bait Earth's hive for unused nukes. The novel ends with Earth girl Amy on the Kurtz and those bombs on a six-month timer.

Aliens: Earth Hive is Steve Perry's 1992 Bantam novel of Aliens: Outbreak, renaming Hicks and Newt as Wilks and Billie after Alien 3. Wilks pulls Billie from a hospital, then a marine ship and a Bionational hunter race to Xenomorph Prime. They return to find Earth falling and leave on a stolen cargo drone.
