Alien Universe Mercenaries: Hired Guns & Smugglers
This category lists mercenaries, smugglers, and hired guns from the Alien universe who took paid work that brought them face to face with Xenomorphs. From Alien: Resurrection it includes Johner, the scarred gunman of the smuggling ship Betty, and Vriess, the ship's mechanic who fought from his wheelchair aboard the USM Auriga. It also holds Herk Mondo, the exterminator from the Dark Horse comics, and Manning, the freelance leader whom Weyland-Yutani hired to take Alan Decker into the New Galveston mine in James A. Moore's novel Alien: Sea of Sorrows.

Dom Vriess was the paralyzed chief mechanic of the Betty in Alien: Resurrection, played by Dominique Pinon. He fought off a Xenomorph alone in the Auriga's stores, survived the ladder shaft when Christie died for him, and flew the Betty to Earth with Johner as one of four survivors.
